- Only applicants who applied for eligible courses will be considered . Additionally, recipients must enrol full-time in their eligible degree, and should not be commencing a second degree at the University of Sydney.
- The scholarship is available to international students as defined in the Higher Education Support Act 2003. However, Australian Citizens, Australian Permanent Residents, and dual citizens with Australian nationality are not eligible to apply.
- Applicants must have completed secondary school or a foundation program in Australia or from a University of Sydney recognised foundation partner.
- Furthermore, applicants must not have previously undertaken any tertiary studies, excluding extension studies completed as part of a year 12 program.
