After John Stones’ dramatic equaliser, Haaland picked up the ball from the back of the net. But instead of launching it up the pitch to get the game back underway, he threw it at the back of Gabriel’s head, who had lifted his shirt above his face in disappointment.
It appeared to trigger a huge brawl between the two sides as players piled in after the final whistle. Things soon simmered down though as both sides walked away with a point.
City had eventually found a way through ten-man Arsenal after Stones forced the ball home with just seconds remaining. The Gunners had been down to ten men for all of the second half after Leandro Trossard’s red card.
