‘I have tried my best to make Him happy here at EMIRATE but it seems things are not going well with Him’: Arteta have finally made up his mind to let £50m key player leave in January after falling out of place with Arteta

Gabriel Jesus’ determination to stay at Arsenal and fight for his place in the first team has received full backing from manager Mikel Arteta, who has outlined his final plans for the transfer window. With the arrival of Kai Havertz for £65 million, injury concerns, and reports of lucrative offers from Saudi Arabia, there was speculation that Jesus’ two-year stint in north London might come to an end this summer.

However, Jesus, 27, reportedly approached this season with a mindset focused on earning his place in Arteta’s squad. His determination seems to have paid off. Jesus played a key role in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Wolves on the opening day, with Arteta confirming after the match that the Brazilian forward remains part of his plans for challenging the Premier League title. A new striker, it appears, is not a priority for Arsenal.

According to The Sun, Jesus is committed to securing his spot in the team, despite rumors of £60 million bids from Saudi Pro League clubs. Arteta has now rewarded Jesus’ perseverance by expressing confidence in his attacking options after Arsenal’s season-opening win.

Speaking to talkSPORT after the Wolves game, Arteta said, “I have faith in Havertz, we have faith in Gabriel Jesus, and Leandro Trossard has also played in that role. We have different qualities in our squad, and the most important thing is to trust our players and help them improve. They are talented, and their commitment is unquestionable, which is where our focus lies.”

Arteta had already praised Jesus for his hard work and development, particularly during Arsenal’s pre-season tour in the United States, where the forward made a strong impression. In a 2-1 victory over Manchester United, Jesus stood out, drawing praise from his manager for his sharpness and readiness for the new season.

“He looks really good,” Arteta said after Jesus scored the equalizer against United. “He’s looking really sharp, and he has made significant changes over the summer. He’s come back in top condition, and that’s the foundation every player needs to succeed. Without it, you can’t perform at your best. He’s recognized that, and I’m thrilled with what he’s shown so far.”

By rewarding Jesus’ commitment, Arteta has signaled his confidence in the current squad, emphasizing the importance of internal growth and trust in his players as they embark on their title challenge this season.
