JUST IN: Napoli has just notified Arsenal that they’re willing to sell Victor Osimhen to them- but only on ONE condition. Mikel Arteta isn’t thrilled with the condition, but Arsenal Sporting Director doesn’t want to miss out on the opportunity to get the world-class Nigerian striker.

Napoli ‘Happy’ to Sell Victor Osimhen to Arsenal on One Condition – Which Mikel Arteta Won’t Like

Arsenal have been given a potential pathway to sign one of the most dangerous strikers in the world, Victor Osimhen, from Napoli. However, this opportunity comes with a significant catch that manager Mikel Arteta may not appreciate.

According to reports, Napoli is open to selling Osimhen to Arsenal, but they have set a specific condition that could complicate the deal. The Gunners, who are expected to be in the market for a striker either in January or next summer, have shown interest in Osimhen after refraining from signing a top-tier goalscorer in the last transfer window. Instead, Arsenal opted for Kai Havertz as an alternative forward option while relying on Eddie Nketiah and Gabriel Jesus to lead the attack. However, as Arsenal aims to dominate major competitions, the need for a prolific striker has become apparent.

Osimhen, a superstar for Napoli, has been at the center of controversy with the club’s management. After being mocked on Napoli’s TikTok channel, Osimhen reportedly considered legal action, although no serious steps have been taken yet. Despite the turmoil, Osimhen continues to play for Napoli, who are preparing to sell him next summer. The Italian club had previously demanded over £100 million for the striker from any interested parties.

According to Calciomercato, Napoli would be willing to sell Osimhen to Arsenal next summer, but they require Gabriel Jesus to be part of the deal, along with a substantial transfer fee. Given that Arsenal paid £50 million for Jesus and Osimhen is valued at over £100 million, this deal would also involve a significant financial outlay.

Gabriel Jesus has been crucial to Arteta’s strategy since joining Arsenal, making this proposed exchange a difficult decision. Even though acquiring one of the world’s best goalscorers is tempting, Arteta may be hesitant to part with Jesus, who plays a key role in his plans.

In addition to Osimhen, Arsenal has been linked with a January move for Ivan Toney, who is eager to leave Brentford when his gambling suspension ends this winter.
