With home field advantage and a superior quality squad, the tanks entered the game very confidently and put great pressure on the Scottish field.
Right in the 10th minute, Scotland’s net shook after Florian Wirtz’s shot.
Continuing their momentum, Julian Nagelsmann’s team pressed their opponents fiercely. The second goal came to them as a matter of course.

The remaining minutes of the first half saw Germany completely control the game. Their advantage continued to expand, when Scotland defender Porteous received a straight red card after a foul on Gundogan in the penalty area. After checking VAR, the referee immediately awarded the home team a penalty kick.
On the 11m mark, Kai Havertz made no mistake to raise the score to 3-0 for Die Mannschaft. This was also the final score of the first half.
After the break, Germany still had the upper hand, controlling most of the ball. However, with a huge advantage of leading by 3 goals in the first half, Die Mannschaft played at a slow pace and no longer attacked aggressively.
However, the German attack still played effectively and scored a goal to increase the score to 4-0 in the 68th minute. Niclas Fullkrug was the one to get his name on the scoreboard after a thunderous shot from outside the penalty area.

However, that was not the final score of this match, when Emre Can scored the winning goal 5-1 for Germany in the 90+3 minute. This result gives Nagelsmann’s army a huge advantage in advancing in Group A of Euro 2024.
